How to find your way around, when to use it and what is the purpose of this checklist?<\/h2>\n

When a patient presents with a new symptom, or when a brief or complete clinical examination is required (e.g. to justify the use of a PRN drug), the history is the first step.<\/p>\n

The usefulness of O-PQRSTU: don't forget the minimum data you need to collect. Your notes will be more precise if you follow a method. The subjective data collected will guide the rest of your clinical examination.<\/p>\n

In the first part of the clinical examination, i.e. the anamnesis or health history relating to a dominant complaint, the O-PQRSTU is used to obtain the minimum subjective data.<\/p>\n
