It is estimated that approximately 20% of Canadians will be affected by a mental health disorder in their lifetime. Today, 15 % of us are living with a mental health disorder. Personality disorders are among them, and cause great suffering. They have a considerable impact on the sufferer and those around him or her. People with personality disorders generally find it extremely difficult to establish and maintain relationships with others. This leads to distress and reduced self-esteem.
These people often suffer from other chronic illnesses, multiple addictions and poly-drug use. This makes it more difficult to express and understand many symptoms, such as pain. Hence the need to apply intervention strategies to make it easier to welcome these people with respect. These sufferers often confront our values and skills, forcing us to redefine our traditional ways of acting.
This course is a must! Every day, we come into contact with people with difficult personalities (colleagues, family members, customers, etc.) This very practical training course will give you all the tools you need to maintain balance and communicate effectively while earning respect. Adapted to professional challenges and daily life. For the entire care team: nurses, nursing assistants, managers, PABs, social workers, etc.
