It is estimated that about 20% Canadians will be affected by a mental health disorder during their lifetime. Today, 15 % of us live with a mental health disorder. Personality disorders are among them and cause great suffering. They significantly affect the affected person and their loved ones. People affected generally experience enormous difficulties in establishing and maintaining relationships with others. This leads to distress and a decrease in self-esteem.
These people often suffer from other chronic illnesses, multiple addictions, and poly-addiction. This makes it more difficult to express and understand several symptoms, such as pain. This is why it is necessary to implement intervention strategies to facilitate the reception of these people with respect. These suffering people often confront our values and our skills, forcing us to redefine our traditional ways of acting.
This training is a must! We all encounter people with difficult personalities every day (colleagues, family members, clients, etc.). This very practical training will give you all the tools to maintain balance and communicate effectively while being respected. Adapted to professional challenges and everyday life. For the entire care team: Nurse, nurse aide, manager, PAB, social worker, etc.
